Enhanced ShadowNet for NATO SOF (eSNS) Operator Course

The Enhanced ShadowNet for NATO SOF (eSNS) Operator Course provides Allied SOF personnel with training on the operational employment of the eSNS capability. The course combines classroom instruction and practical exercises focused on the use of eSNS from the tactical edge through to operational and strategic levels. Training covers secure communications, collaboration tools, situational awareness, Common Operational Picture (COP) services, planning and execution applications, tactical data integration, sensor feeds, video streaming, and operational lessons identified. The course supports NATO SOF digital interoperability and multinational information sharing across the Alliance.

Course Aim
  • To develop qualified eSNS operators capable of effectively employing NATO SOF digital collaboration, situational awareness, planning, and communication capabilities within national and multinational operational environments.
Objectives
    • Understand eSNS architecture and core functionality.
    • Employ eSNS collaboration and communications tools.
    • Utilise situational awareness and COP applications.
    • Use planning and execution tools, including TAK and associated plug-ins.
    • Integrate tactical data, sensor feeds, and video streaming capabilities into operations.
    • Apply eSNS capabilities in support of multinational SOF missions.
