Course Information

The SSC is a mandatory course for new team members of NATO SOFCOM, SHAPE, Belgium.  It is a blended learning course that provides hands on education and training designed to rapidly prepare new members to become competent staff officers, operating as a warfighting team at the operational level of NATO. 

Course Aim

Provide new personnel assigned to NATO SOFCOM, SHAPE, Belgium with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to successfully operate as a staff officer within the SOFCOM Theater Component Command.

Objectives

Students will graduate with knowledge of how SOFCOM operates as a staff, the ability to use NATO tools and processes, how your directorate supports the commander, and SOFCOM’s role in supporting the NATO mission

Target Audience

SOFCOM New Staff Members.
